Both works are at the heart of the practice — weaving live music, psychedelic rock fusion, storytelling, and video. Panj traces five pivotal moments in a Punjabi Sikh family's history. Milāpa follows a path from exile to return, with music and movement at its core.

Festival Accès-Asie

I am a founding member and past board member of Festival Accès-Asie (originally the Montréal Asian Heritage Festival), Canada's oldest uninterrupted Asian Heritage Month festival. I performed in the inaugural show in 1995 and have been a regular participant, presenter, and MC over the years.

Invited to compose the soundtrack for this NFB feature drama — the story of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees who find sanctuary in a Newfoundland outport. Recorded at the NFB's 24-track studio, the tracks featured improvised sitar textures and programmed rhythms, evoking a culture in transition.

Contemporary Dance & Performance Art

Composed and performed music for Roger Sinha's Burning Skin (1992–1994), which toured internationally and was featured on CBC's Adrienne Clarkson Presents. Also created music for transgender performance artist Atif Siddiqi through the 1990s.

Theatre — Teesri Duniya & Montréal Serai

Composed soundtracks and provided technical support for numerous theatre productions from 1985–1995, including The Great Celestial Cow, The Komagata Maru Incident, and The Death of Abbie Hoffman, performing in Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Saathi Collective

Co-founder and participant in Montréal's South Asian Queer Artist Collective through the 1990s and 2000s — creating work that explored the intersections of culture, identity, gender, and race through music and performance.
